Welcome to our New and Improved Website!

In 2022, we have a new slate of officers, exciting new programs planned, and it was time to update our website. Moving forward, we plan to make our site more interactive, and provide more news and information of interest to our local writers. That includes our new blog, so stay tuned for regular updates. As we say in CWC, Sail On!!

  1. I was very impressed with how well the new improved website looks. Very well organized and much more user friendly than the previous website. The photography was excellent so please include more pictures.

  2. Congratulations to our founder, Catherine Kitcho, and our former treasurer, Cathie Ortiz, who volunteered to update our Coastal Dunes CWC website. It turned out fantastic.
I enjoy this interactive feature. It’s a great place to announce members speaking engagements and to keep us posted on your latest publications.
    Sail on!

  3. Bravo Coastal Dunes CWC! How beautiful the Website! A true inspiration.
All the best out to all fellow authors and writers.

  4. I enjoyed the June speaker Ed Cobleigh on self-publishing. It was horrifying to discover that the publishing house that published his first book neglected the last chapter of the book and that he was more successful when he self-published. Learning by your mistakes or someone else’s is invaluable. Thank you, for your candid presentation.

  5. We had two awesome speakers in July and August. What a great way to get autographed books.
I just finished reading Fly with the Falcon by author Ed Cobleigh. I highly recommend it.
Now onto reading the young adult fiction novel by Andrew Luria, The Adventures of Charley Marley Midnight’s Moment in Time. I bought Charley Marley for my granddaughters, but let’s not tell them I read it first. There’s still a kid left in all of us to travel back in time.

  6. The Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library are holding a Kiosk pop-up used-book sale on Labor Day weekend, September 3-5, from 12-5 p.m. on the second floor of the Santa Maria Town Center Mall. Check out their used book store on the same level.
